Westchester Considering Law Protecting Immigrants Living In County

The legislation would also prevent county funds from being used by federal authorities.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester County Legislators met Monday to discuss protecting immigrants living in the county. The Immigration Protection Act aims to not only keep immigrants safe but to prevent county funds from being given to federal immigration authorities.

It is unknown whether the bipartisan bill will be signed by County Executive Robert Astorino.
