“This is a fun way to remind residents of the excellent quality of our tap water,” added Sherlita Amler, MD, commissioner of health. “It also gives us a chance to recognize the local, county and state professionals who monitor our public water systems and ensure all our drinking water is safe.”

After the votes are tallied on Tuesday, the health department will announce the winner and will reveal which water was which via Twitter @wchealthdept #wcbestwater and on Facebook.com/wchealthdept.

The winner of the county competition will then advance to the regional competition. The winners of the regional competitions statewide will ultimately compete at the New York State Fair.
