The woman asked her friends and family to consider praying for the woman who allegedly attacked her.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — One of the four American college students attacked with acid in France is a White Plains native. Michelle Krug, a White Plains High School graduate and a currently a junior at Boston College, was attacked at a Marseille train station Sunday, according to lohud.com.

“To fill in those who have not heard, three of my friends and I were attacked this morning at a Marseille train station by a woman suffering from a mental illness. She threw a weak solution of hydrochloric acid at us from a water bottle, which go in one of my eyes and one of the friend’s eyes. We were all treated at a local hospital and are anticipating a quick recovery,” she wrote.

Krug asked her friends and family to think about praying for the woman who attacked them.
“Mental illness is not a choice and should not be villainized,” she wrote.
The other students involved in the attack are also juniors at Boston College.
They were identified as Courtney Siverling, Charlotte Kaufman and Kelsey Korsten.
