Williamsburg Apartment Fall: 25-Story Plunge Was Homicide, Police Say

Miguel Santiago plunged 25 stories to his death in an incident police will now investigate it as a homicide.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police are investigating the death of a man who dropped 25 stories from the roof of a South Williamsburg apartment building as a homicide.

Miguel Santiago, 53, was found unconscious behind 60 Division Ave. near Wythe Avenue around 2:35 a.m. Monday, police said.

Santiago, of East New York, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital where we was pronounced dead, according to police.

Santiago was seen fighting about money with a building resident just before he died, the Daily News reported.

The Medical Examiner’s office has ruled his death to be a homicide.
