Two men pulled $2,000 from the safe, shut an employee in the freezer, and fled, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — The Meatball Shop was robbed by two armed men who locked an employee in the standing freezer, nabbed $2,000 and fled, according to police.

The two suspects walked into the popular Williamsburg restaurant at 710 Bedford Ave, around 3 a.m. and leveled a gun at a 30-year-old employee, Wednesday, said police.

The duo forced the man open the eatery’s safe, grabbed $2,000 in cash they found inside, then shut the employee in a stand-up freezer before running away, police said.
