Cyclist Critically Injured In East Williamsburg Collision, Officials Say

A cyclist was hit by a car near Grand Street and Bushwick Avenue Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

EAST WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A bicyclist is in critical condition after being hit by a car Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.

The cyclist was riding near Bushwick Avenue and Grand Street around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when the vehicle hit the bike, according to police and the FDNY.

The cyclist, whose age and gender were not immediately known, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, said the FDNY.

The driver remained on the scene and was not immediately charged with a crime, police said.
