Bronx Stalker Charged With Attempted Williamsburg Rape, Cops Say

Adonis Cabrera was arrested for following a woman into her Williamsburg home earlier this month and trying to rape her, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN -- Police arrested a Bronx man who allegedly tried to rape a woman in Williamsburg earlier this month.

Adonis Cabrera, 21, was charged with attempted rape Wednesday for attacking a 42-year-old woman in an apartment building near Berry and South 10th streets on Monday, Sept. 3, at about 7:45 a.m., police said.

Cabrera followed the woman in to the building, grabbed her from behind, and put his over her mouth, said police.

But the woman, who was not injured during the struggle, fought Carbrera off and sent him running out of the building, police said.

Cabrera, of West Bronx, was charged with attempted rape, sexual assault and forcible touching, said police.
