Dapper Williamsburg Thief Steals $687 Cash From Woman's Purse, Police Say

The suspect stole a woman's wallet as she shopped at the Green Corner market on Flushing Avenue in Williamsburg Monday, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police are hunting for the handy pickpocket who lifted a woman’s wallet —— stuffed with almost $700 in cash — directly from her purse.

The suspect slipped his hand into the 46-year-old woman’s purse as she shopped at the Green Corner market at 801 Flushing Ave. around 11 a.m. on Monday, police said.

The dapper thief — clad in an argyle sweater, white button-down shirt and tan jacket — snagged a wallet with $687 in cash and one credit card, police said.
