Drunk Man Critically Injured After Slamming Head Into Truck, Police Say

The 29-year-old staggered off the curb on Grand Street and Marcy Avenue in Williamsburg Friday morning.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A man who appeared drunk stumbled into the street and collided with a truck early Friday morning, police said.

Witnesses saw the 29-year-old man stagger off the curb on Grand Street and Marcy Avenue in Williamsburg around 2:30 a.m. Friday, said police.

The man hit his head on the side of a passing truck and was knocked to the ground, said police.

Emergency responders rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The driver remained at the scene and was not charged with a crime, police said.
