Elderly Man Dies In Williamsburg Playground, Police Say

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police were unable to save a man they found dying in a Williamsburg playground Monday afternoon.

Emergency responders rushed to help the unconscious 61-year-old man in La Guardia Playground near Havemeyer and South Fifth streets at about 5:25 p.m., said police.

But medics were unable to resuscitate the unidentified man and he was pronounced dead at the scene, said police.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing, according to police.
