EMT Killed In Kosciuszko Bridge Hit-And-Run Accident, Police Say

Kevin Liang was riding his motorcycle across the bridge Saturday night when he was struck by a sedan changing lanes, said police.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — An FDNY Emergency Medical Service member was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Kosciuszko Bridge Saturday evening, according to police.

Kevin Liang, 27, was riding his motorcycle across the Kosciuszko Bridge toward Queens around 7:50 p.m. Saturday evening when he was struck by a dark colored sedan trying to change lanes, police said.

The EMT was thrown from his motorcycle and fell onto the pavement and the driver sped away from the accident, according to police.

Liang, of Bay Ridge, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A witness told the New York Daily News that the driver stopped to check the damage to his car before speeding away.

Mayor Bill de Blasio said an "aggressive" investigation to track down the driver was underway in a tweet on Sunday.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
