L Train Shutdown Explained Tonight At Williamsburg Public Meeting

The MTA and DOT will host their third public meeting about the Canarsie Tunnel shutdown in Williamsburg on Thursday.

WILLIAMSBURG, NEW YORK — Transit officials will host their third public discussion on the L train shutdown in Brooklyn Thursday night.

MTA and Department of Transportation representatives will field questions about the 15-month closure of the Canarsie Tunnel, slated to begin in 2019, at the Williamsburg Community Center at 195 Graham Ave. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The MTA announced it would host its four public meetings one month after City Council members hauled the agency into an oversight hearing to demand more information about the shutdown, slated to begin in April 2019.
