W'burg Thief Fires Gun While Trying To Take Man's Necklace: Cops

The man tried to steal the other man's necklace on Broadway before firing a gun towards him, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who fired his gun last week while trying to rob another man on the street in Williamsburg.

Just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, the suspect came up to the man outside of 349 Broadway and showed his gun. He then tried to take the man's necklace off of him and fired his gun toward the victim, police said.

The attacker ran away empty handed, police said. Police did not report any injuries from the incident.

The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years old and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, camouflage pants, white and black sneakers, police said.
