New Williamsburg Laundromat Will Text You When Your Clothes Are Ready

Hipster Laundromat Alert: It texts, serves lattes and is already on Instagram.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Your laundry will just text you when it’s done and wants to meet up.

A new eco-aware laundromat called Celsious is coming to Williamsburg this summer, with fancy washing machines that text, free Instagrammable detergent and an organic coffee bar, TimeOut reported Friday.

The cafe-o-mat will be fitted with Electrolux washing machines which cost between $5 and $6 per load, use less water and send text alerts when the clothes are ready to go.

And what else could pair better with hipster washing machines than hipster detergent? Celcious will provide soap from The Simply Co., a company that sells three-ingredient detergent in mason jars.

TimeOut also noted that there will be a laundromat cafe serving up Caffe Vita coffee and Bed-Stuy’s own Saraghina Bakery snacks.
