One-Year-Old Girl Hit By SUV in Greenpoint Street, Police Say

The one-year-old dashed into Newell Street and was hit by a black SUV, police said.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — A one-year-old girl ran into a Greenpoint street and was struck by an SUV Tuesday evening, according to police.

The little girl dashed into Newell Street between Nassau and Norman avenues around 6 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Emergency responders found the toddler awake but with serious injuries and rushed her to Elmhurst General Hospital, said police.

The 55-year-old driver remained on the scene and was not arrested but the investigation remained ongoing as of Wednesday morning, police said.
