Man Hit By Brooklyn L Train And Service Delayed, MTA Says
L train service came to a halt Tuesday afternoon after a person was struck at the Bedford Avenue station in Williamsburg, officials said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN -- An L train hit a man at the Bedford Avenue station Tuesday afternoon and temporarily forced service to a halt, officials said.
The man was struck by an L train in the station on Bedford Avenue and North Seventh Street at about 2:25 p.m., according to police the FDNY.
Medics rushed the victim to Woodhull Hospital in serious condition, an FDNY spokesman said.

As a result, L train service was suspended between Eighth Avenue in Manhattan and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues in Brooklyn for more than an hour, according to the MTA.
Service resumed at about 3:40 p.m. but MTA warned straphangers to expect delays as trains bypassed Bedford Avenue and operated on the Brooklyn-bound tracks at First and Third avenues.
