Person Rescued From East River In Greenpoint, FDNY Says
Emergency responders pulled someone out of the East River Tuesday morning, officials said.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — A person found floundering in the East River was rescued by emergency responders in Brooklyn, city officials said.
Medics rushed to the waterfront near Milton and West streets and pulled a person out of the East River at about 11:20 a.m., according to the FDNY.
The person, whose age and gender were not immediately released, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital in critical condition, said FDNY and police.

Emergency responders arrived at the Greenpoint intersection after receiving reports of an arrest, but discovered they were needed for a rescue at the scene, said an FDNY spokesman.
