Person Hit By L Train At Bedford Ave Station, FDNY Says

L trains bypassed Bedford Avenue on Thursday as emergency personnel aided the person that was struck.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — One person was sent to the hospital after being hit by a train at the Bedford Avenue subway station in Williamsburg, an FDNY spokesman said.

Emergency personnel arrived at the subway station, located on Bedford Avenue and North 7th Street, around 11:19, an FDNY spokesman said. One person was removed from the tracks and taken to Bellevue Hospital, the spokesman said.

The spokesman could not provide information on the person's identity or condition.

L trains bypassed Bedford Avenue in both directions while emergency responders operated at the station, according to the MTA. Service at Bedford Avenue was restored with delays around 12:15 p.m., the MTA announced.
