Williamsburg's Pokito Restaurant Robbed Of $3K By Bearded Burglar, Police Say

A burglar who broke into Pokito restaurant snagged $980 in cash and two checks worth $2000, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police are asking for help locating a bearded burglar they say stole nearly $3,000 from the Latin-American restaurant Pokito.

The suspect broke into the restaurant at 155 S. 4th St. around 4:20 a.m. on Monday, April 3, and grabbed $980 in cash and two checks worth $2000, according to police.

Security footage captured the burglar — described as a six-foot-tall man with curly blond hair and a long beard, clad in a hooded sweatshirt, pants, baseball cap and glasses — rifling behind the Pokito bar and walking off with a black box, police said.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
