Power Tool Thief Nabs $2K In Equipment From South Williamsburg Construction Company

Police released a photo of the suspect Wednesday morning.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police are hunting for a power tool thief in South Williamsburg who stole thousands of dollars worth of power tools.

The suspect jumped over the security fence outside 145 Rutledge St. around 4:20 a.m. on Monday, May 29, police said.

The thief grabbed power tools worth about $2,100 and fled the construction company site, according to police.

Police released a photo of the suspect, whom they describe as a man with short, dark hair and a beard last seen wearing a gray jacket, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the NYPD.
