Queens Man Dies When Car Flips On Williamsburg Bridge: Police

Jean Caliste, of Queens, died when his 2017 Ford Fusion flipped on the bridge's exit ramp early Wednesday morning, said police.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A Queens man died and a woman was hurt when their car flipped on a Williamsburg Bridge exit ramp Wednesday morning, police said.

Jean Caliste, 29, was critically injured when his 2017 Ford Fusion careened out of control and finally crashed near Havemayer and South Fifth streets around 3 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

Emergency responders found Caliste unconscious and with serious head injuries and the woman with minor injuries, said police.

Caliste, of Jamaica, was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he pronounced dead, police said.

The NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the accident, said police.
