Teenager Punched In Face And Robbed In Williamsburg, Police Say

A teenage boy was punched in the face in Williamsburg by a man who had asked him for money, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN —A 15-year-old boy was asked for money by a man who then punched him in the face and grabbed his phone, police said. The robbery happened around 4 p.m. Monday on Grand Street, near Manhattan Avenue, in Williamsburg.

Video surveillance captured the assault and shows the suspect is about 5-foot-8, about 175 pounds and wearing a black jacket, gray pants and black sneakers, police said.

The suspect fled north on Manhattan Avenue and had not been caught as of Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
