Thief Grabs Bikes Worth $10K From Williamsburg Storage Room, Police Say

The suspect has twice robbed one Williamsburg bike room and made off with three bicycles worth thousands, said police.

WILLIAMSBURG — Police are hunting for a bicycle thief who keeps nabbing expensive bikes from one Williamsburg apartment building.

The suspect first crept into the bike room near Berry and South Fifth streets on July around 9 p.m., said police.

He grabbed two bikes — a Trek 1000 road and specialized Langster — worth about $2,100 and fled, police said.

The thief then returned on Sunday, Sept. 3, around 3:10 a.m. and grabbed a Low bicycle worth about $9,000, according to police.

Police released photos of the suspect Thursday evening and ask anyone with information about these incidents to contact the NYPD.
