Watch: 5 Muggers Attack Man In Williamsburg Street

Police released surveillance footage of five muggers delivering a brutal attack on a man in Williamsburg the night before Halloween.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for five men who pummeled their victim before stealing his backpack on a dark Williamsburg street the night before Halloween.

The 35-year-old man was attacked from behind as he walked down North Fifth Street between Roebling and Havemeyer streets around 4:15 a.m. on Oct. 30, police said.

Video surveillance footage shows a man in a striped shirt shoving the man into the street as four other men race to join him.

The five men can be seen punching and kicking the man in the face before stealing his backpack, cellphone and wallet, said police.

The 35-year-old man suffered from fractured ribs and was treated in a nearby hospital, said police.
