Williamsburg Man ID'd As Pedestrian Killed By Pickup Truck
A Williamsburg resident has been identified as the pedestrian hit and killed by a pickup truck Friday evening in East Williamsburg.

EAST WILLIAMSBURG, NY — A Williamsburg resident has been identified as the pedestrian hit and killed by a pickup truck Friday evening in East Williamsburg. Jose Rubi, 51, of the 200 block of Union Ave., was hit by a 2015 Ford pickup truck around 5 p.m. Friday, police said.
The truck had been making a left turn onto Vandervoort Avenue when it ran into the Rubi, who was crossing Maspeth Avenue.
Police officers arrived and found Rubi with injuries to his head and chest. Emergency responders rushed him to Woodhull Hospital where he was declared dead, police said. On Sunday, the medical examiner determined he died from his injuries.

No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
