Williamsburg Shooting Leaves Two Women Injured, Police Say

The gunman shot into the car stopped near Nostrand and Flushing avenues Thursday evening, police said.

SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Police are hunting for the man who fired into a car and injured two women Thursday night.

The 18-year-old and 29-year-old women were stopped at the corner of Nostrand and Flushing avenues around 6:45 p.m. when the gunman shot into the driver’s window, police said.

The 18-year-old passenger was shot in the leg and the 29-year-old driver was cut in the head by broken glass, said police.

The women sped away but were stopped at Marcy and Myrtle avenues for “driving erratically,” the Daily News reported.

The injured women were rushed to area hospitals with minor injuries but their passenger in the back seat was not hurt, police said.

Police are now searching for the shooter who fled the scene on foot, police said.
