Student Stabbed In Head On First Day Of School, Officials Say
A 17-year-old was stabbed in the head at the Automotive High School in Williamsburg on the first day of school, officials said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN -- A teen was stabbed in the head with a metal pick at a Williamsburg high school Wednesday morning, officials said.
A 17-year-old boy was attacked during a fight inside Automotive High School at 50 Bedford Ave. at about 8:45 a.m., said police and FDNY officials.
A school safety agent called 911 to report the teen had a metal pick coming out of his head and that the assailant was someone she knew, police said.

Emergency responders rushed the teen, who was conscious and alert, to Bellevue Hospital, said police and the FDNY.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

The attack occurred on the first day of classes for New York City public schools.
