• Park Square Breaks Ground At 1 Loehr Place In Yonkers (newyorkyimby.com) — Construction has begun on Park Square Yonkers, a $185 million mixed-use project at 1 Loehr Place that will add 340 apartments, retail space, and a large parking garage. The development is coordinated with a planned Yonkers public school at Grant Park serving pre‑K through eighth grade, with community access to its gym, library, and pool, and completion expected in 2028.
   

• Bad Arrest by the YPD in 2018 Alleged in Lawsuit Involving Racial Profiling, Wrongful Detention and Illegal Transfer to ICE (yonkerstimes.com) — Three men arrested by Yonkers Police in 2018 over mailbox thefts now allege in a lawsuit that they were racially profiled, wrongfully detained, and that one was illegally transferred to ICE, despite charges later being dismissed. Their case, tied to thefts along Yonkers Avenue and South Broadway, is scheduled for trial September 1, 2026, and could scrutinize YPD conduct in depth.
