Thomas Material Recovery Facility, which processes about 91% of the countyās residential recyclables. Staff say the Yonkers site handled 64,000 tons in 2024, generated nearly $6 million in sales, and is key to meeting New Yorkās ambitious 2050 waste-reduction goals.

ā¢ Guilty Verdict on all Counts in Hastings Home-Invasion Burglary Trial (yonkerstimes.com) ā Yonkers residents should know that local police helped investigate a terrifying 2024 home-invasion in Hastings-on-Hudson that has now led to a guilty verdict on all counts. A Dobbs Ferry man was convicted of multiple burglary, robbery, and weapons charges after threatening parents and their baby at gunpoint, with sentencing set for May 21 in Westchester County Court.
