2 Accused Of Stealing From Macy's In Yorktown
An officer was able to locate the women and their vehicle based on descriptions given to him.
YORKTOWN, NY — Two Westchester women were accused of stealing from Macy's. Yorktown police said Barbara A. Pettiford, 54, of Mount Vernon, and Kwasheena Stinson, 31, of Valhalla, were both charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Police said an officer was sent around 7:45 p.m. May 18 to investigate a theft that occurred at Macy's. The officer was provided with a descriptions of the vehicle and two women.
The officer said he located the car on Route 6 and initiated a traffic stop.

Police said the investigation found that the women went into the store and stole merchandise worth $696.
They were arrested and taken to police headquarters.

The pair was charged and processed.
Pettiford was issued an appearance ticket and released on her own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court June 20.
Kwasheena was arraigned and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $300 bail.
