26 Annual Yorktown Community Day at Jefferson Valley Mall
A free celebration featuring local exhibits, attractions, activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Jefferson Valley Mall will host the 26 annual Yorktown Community Day on Saturday, June 13. This admission-free celebration, which will feature exhibits, attractions, activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, will take place both outside of and throughout the mall.
On the southern exterior of Jefferson Valley Mall, attendees will enjoy free dance and musical performances by local artists, carnival games, face painting and bounce houses, while learning about various community organizations. Emergency services vehicles, including operational fire trucks, police cars, K-9 units and an antique fire engine show will be on display. Throughout the afternoon, Furniture Sharehouse will be collecting gently-used furniture, such as kitchen tables and chairs, dressers, coffee tables, night stands, mirrors and lamps, for families in need.
In addition, the 10 Annual ASK Taste of Yorktown will allow guests to sample decadent delights from participating area restaurants, such as Jewel of Himalaya, Peter Pratts and Thyme. Tickets for Taste of Yorktown are $10 and can be purchased at the event. The Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) is a Yorktown Heights charitable collaboration aimed at providing youth with the information and skills needed to make healthy decisions while emphasizing the need for families to protect and nurture their children by getting informed and getting involved.

Inside the mall, live musical performances by students from The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts will take place on the stage located in Center Court. Plus, many of Jefferson Valley Mall’s popular retailers, including Macy’s, Sears, Yankee Candle, Things Remembered and Sterling Optical, will host in-store events and giveaways.
