Albany County Man Accused Of Drug Possession
State police said a trooper was injured during a struggle with the man.
YORKTOWN, NY — An Albany County man was accused of having a variety of illegal drugs after being stopped on the Taconic State Parkway. State police said Kenyatta Ingram Jr., 30, of Watervliet, was pulled over shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday on the parkway in the Town of Yorktown for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.
While talking to the troopers, Ingram refused to comply with lawful orders and a struggle ensued, police said.
A state police K-9 was brought in and a stun gun was deployed before Ingram was taken into custody, according to authorities.

One trooper was injured, as was Ingram.
Both were treated at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital.

Police said Ingram was in possession of about 697 grams of MDMA, or ecstasy, about 75 grams of marijuana and about 34 grams of cocaine.
He was charged with the following:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies
- Obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor
- Resisting arrest, a misdemeanor
- Disorderly conduct, a violation
Ingram was arraigned in the Town of Yorktown Court and released on his own recognizance. He is next scheduled to appear in court Feb. 11.
