Amawalk Man Accused Of Drunken Driving In Yorktown
Police initially stopped the man for a tail lamp that was lit.
YORKTOWN, NY — An Amawalk man was accused of drunken driving after a traffic stop. Yorktown police said John A. Enoch, 21, Amawalk, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with blood alcohol content 0.8 percent of more, misdemeanors and no tail lamp, a traffic infraction.
Police said, shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, an officer saw a car that didn't have a tail lamp illuminated.
After a traffic stop, the officer said Enoch was driving while intoxicated.

He was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters for processing.
A further investigation found that Enoch had a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.

He was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party and is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 12.
