According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the fastest growing occupation—meaning the gig with the highest percent change of employment expected between 2014 and 2024—is a wind turbine service technician.

The federal agency estimates that job’s growth rate is 108 percent, with a median pay of $51,050 for 2015.

Those kind of jobs would mean commuting up to Greene County if you were lucky enough to snare one.

However, of the top 20 jobs that the bureau said were the fastest growing occupations, 13 of them were in the health-care industry.

The top jobs include occupational and physical therapy, home health aides, nurse practitioners and ambulance drivers and attendants.
