Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester to Host 21st Annual Humanitarian Award Dinner

June gala to honor longtime executive director Brian Skanes as "Humanitarian of the Year"

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGCNW) will host its 21st annual Humanitarian Award Dinner on Saturday, June 6 at the Hilton Westchester, honoring former executive director, Brian Skanes, as “Humanitarian of the Year.”

Skanes, who served as the Club’s leader for 21 years, left the organization this spring to continue making an impact with Boys & Girls Clubs of America as Director of Major Metro Services. Under Skanes’ direction, the BGCNW was established as one of the most respected youth service organizations in Westchester County, enriching thousands of children’s lives over the course of his two-decade long tenure.

“The Humanitarian Dinner is a celebration of Brian’s tremendous leadership and impressive career,” said Alyzza Ozer, CEO. “It is also an opportunity to recognize the outstanding achievements of Club youth who are exemplary members of the community and a true reflection of the Club’s impact.”
