Bronx Woman Arrested For 2020 Fatal Hit-And-Run After Anonymous Tip
The cold case that had been stalled for years revolved around a bicyclist's death on the North County Trailway in Yorktown.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Bronx woman, who left the scene of an accident resulting in a bicyclist's death on the Westchester County bike trail in 2020, has been arrested after an anonymous tip, according to Yorktown police.
On August 23, 2020, Yorktown police were called to the area near Birdsall Drive where it intersects with the Westchester County Bike Trail, after reports that a cyclist had been hit by a car. Officers found a severely injured man on the ground being given CPR by passing good Samaritans. The cyclist had been involved in a collision with an unknown vehicle which had already fled the scene.
Investigators were not able to learn the identity of the driver or vehicle, although it was believed to have possibly been a gray minivan.

On August 27, 2020, the injured cyclist died from his injuries at the Westchester Medical Center.

Yorktown police received an anonymous tip this month about a van involved in the 2020 accident. Yorktown detectives gathered information on a potential suspect vehicle and driver, which was shared with neighboring police departments to help locate them.
On September 11, the vehicle was located by Eastchester police. Yorktown police were notified and responded to the scene. The vehicle and driver were taken to Yorktown Police Department headquarters for further investigation.
On Monday, around 10:30 a.m., after being contacted by Yorktown police, Glenys Manana-Rodriguez surrendered herself at the Yorktown Police Department. She was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, a felony, and held for arraignment.
Later that day, Manana-Rodriguez was arraigned and ordered held on $25,000 cash bail. After being unable to post bail, she was placed into the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections and taken to the Westchester County jail.
Manana-Rodriguez is scheduled to return to the Yorktown Justice Court on October 10.
