Brooklyn Man Was More Than Double Legal Limit: Yorktown Police
An officer responded to Route 118 after reports that an erratic driver had stopped in front of Nadine's restaurant.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown police arrested a 44-year-old Brooklyn man on charges of driving while intoxicated.
On September 8, at around 9:17 p.m., an officer responded to Route 118 in the area of Nadine's restaurant after reports that an erratic driver had stopped in front of the restaurant.
The officer located the vehicle and the driver was identified as Darius Pavydis. He was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Department headquarters for processing. Pavydis consented to a breath test which police said showed that he had a 0.22 percent BAC, more than double the legal limit.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated BAC .18 percent or more and driving while intoxicated.
Pavydis was issued traffic tickets and was released on his own recognizance to Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps who transported him to Northern Westchester Hospital for medical treatment.

He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 19.
