Canine Company Holds Spa Day for Guiding Eyes Grads-To-Be
New guide dogs to receive free grooms in time for graduation ceremony
The May graduating guide dog class at Guiding Eyes for the Blind will be treated to a special “spa day” next Thursday, May 28 courtesy of Canine Company, to prepare them for their upcoming graduation ceremony two days later. Previous graduates have been invited to bring their dogs for a free groom as well.
Canine Company’s mobile spa and two groomers will be on site all day. Each of the dogs will receive a shampoo and moisturizing treatment, nail trim, ear cleaning and more to get them fresh and ready to head to their new homes.
“We’ve been a long-time supporter of Guiding Eyes for the Blind and saw this as a way to do something more,” said Jennifer Hill, President and CEO of Canine Company. “Now that we have a mobile grooming spa serving Westchester County, we thought grooming the graduating dogs would be a great way to help celebrate their achievement and demonstrate our commitment to this great cause.”
