Christmas Trees Still Being Collected In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, NY — There is still time to have your Christmas tree collected and disposed of by the town of Yorktown.

All metal wire, nails and lights must be removed, and trees must not be placed in plastic bags.

Trees will be chipped at Yorktown's Organic Yard Waste Facility. Trees buried under snow will not be collected.

Weather permitting, Christmas trees will be collected as follows:

• Sections 1 and &: Jan. 19
• Section 6: Jan. 20
• Sections 2 & 3: Jan. 14, 21
• Sections 4 & 5: Jan. 15, 22

Condos/apartment complexes:

• Jan. 19: Ansonia Lodge, Horn Circle, Lakeside Colony, Mogul Park, Mohegan Woodlands, Old Yorktown Village, The Landing on Mohegan Lake, Villas-on-the-Lake, Wynwood Oaks.
• Jan. 20: Bridal Ridge, High Meadow, Jefferson Village, Ponderosa.
• Jan. 21: Beaver Ridge, Cedar Pond, Compond Crossing, Glassbury Court, Overlook Commons, Scenic View, Underhill Apts, The Woods II, York Farm, York Ridge.
• Jan. 22: Canterbury Crossing, Coach N' Four, Courtyard, Gateways, Huntersbrook, Jefferson Woods, Maple Brook, Surrey Court, Trump Park.
