Cosmetology students from The Tech Center at Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES got tips from the pros when they attended the International Beauty Trade Show on March 11 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
Students had access to industry professionals from around the world, and more than 100 hair, nail, makeup and business classes were offered at the event.
Cosmetology students at The Tech Center are enrolled in a two-year program while in high school. The program prepares them for employment as hair stylists, skin care specialists, hair colorists, and other positions in cosmetology. They had the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals at the show.

IBS New York is the longest-running professionals-only trade show in the nation, and draws more than 60,000 beauty professionals annually.
