Damage to Car, Gas Station Ends with Felony Criminal Mischief Charges
24-year-old Yorktown man arrested

Kevin L. Velasquez, 24, of Yorktown, faces two charges of third-degree criminal mischief, felonies.
Police said they received a call at 10:53 p.m. Sept. 4 about a disorderly man damaging property at the Chestnut Shell station on Commerce Street.
The man had punched a vehicle hard enough to cause $500 worth of damage and then caused another $750 worth of damage to gas station property.

Velasquez was located shortly thereafter by Officer Justin Foley in the parking lot of Courtesy Shell on Saw Mill River Road and arrested. He was released on $1,500 bail and is due back in court this evening.
