Eight Student Athletes from Yorktown High School Sign National Letters of Intent

Students from three varsity teams at YHS sign to play college sports

Yorktown, NY: Eight athletes from Yorktown High School signed Letters of Intent stating they have a commitment to play college-level sports.

There were four from Boys Lacrosse, three from Girls Lacrosse and one from Softball team.

“This represents a very impressive group of Yorktown students,” said Athletic Director Fio Nardone, who has been at Yorktown High School for 16 years. “There is no doubt that the success of these student-athletes can be attributed to their individual achievements, the support of their parents and the expertise of our excellent coaches.”

For Boys Lacrosse the signing athletes are-- Kyle Casey (University of Albany), Anthony Altimari (University of Delaware), Steven Veteri (University of Tampa) and Jose Boyer (prep school, then Notre Dame). The coaches are Robert Doerr and Sean Carney.

For Girls Lacrosse the signing athletes are --Michelle Seger, Carli Mager and Rilea Fusco.

For Girls Softball the signing athlete is -- Brittany Giordano (Post University) and the Coach is Ryan Iamurri.
