Hyde Park Man Arrested for Stealing, Using Yorktown Resident's Credit Card
Police said the defendant tried to buy jewelry at a Connecticut Macy's.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 23-year-old homeless Dutchess County man was arrested Tuesday by Yorktown police and accused with stealing someone else’s identity.
Police said Rajeam I. Jackson, of Hyde Park, was charged with second-degree identity theft, a felony.
According to Yorktown police, they received a call from a Yorktown resident around 5 p.m. June 3, 2016, saying a credit card had been stolen from the victim’s motor vehicle.

The victim said the stolen credit card was used without permission at Macy’s Danbury, CT.
An investigation found that Jackson tried to purchase jewelry with the stolen credit card, police said.

Jackson was arrested at the Dutchess County Jail on an arrest warrant and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
He was arraigned and is scheduled to return to Yorktown Town Court August 9.
