Jefferson Valley Man Accused Of Threatening Lawn Guy With Knife

The defendant surrendered at police headquarters a day later.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Jefferson Valley man was arrested July 31 for threatening someone with a knife. Yorktown Police said Vincent Lovallo, 57, of Wood Street in Jefferson Valley, was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

Police said they responded July 30 to a Wood Street residence for a menacing complaint. When they got to the scene, officers met with a man who had been doing lawn maintenance in the area. The man said that Lovallo allegedly threatened and physically menaced him with a knife over a dispute involving the property boundaries.

Officers said they made several attempts to contact Lovallo during the course of the investigation but were not able to locate him.

He voluntarily surrendered July 31 at Yorktown Police Headquarters where he was arrested.

Lovalla was arraigned and released on $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court August 1.
