Meet Santa at the Jefferson Valley Mall

The Jefferson Valley Mall will kick off the Christmas season with its annual holiday breakfast with on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 8:30 a.m.

Magician Joe Fields will perform and kids are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to Fred’s Pantry, an organization that helps feed the homeless in the Peekskill area.

"We're really looking forward to a festive season," said Lauren Penchina, director of mall marketing and business development. "[Santa] brings a whole magic dimension to the season and it enables people to make memories that last a lifetime."

Admission is $3 for Simon Kidgit members and $10 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased anytime in advance at Simon Guest Services or on the day of the event, if still available. Proceeds will benefit the Simon Youth Foundation, which benefits high school students at risk, Penchina said. 

Children can take a picture with Santa from now through Christmas Eve. They can also send letters, create a wish list and make reindeer food. In addition, families can send messages of thanks to service members, their relatives and veterans .
