Mohegan Lake Day 2105

This year's annual celebration of one of the natural gems of Yorktown is happening this Sunday, 7/12/15--all day.

The Mohegan Lake Improvement District is happy to host our annual public event across several of the seven lake associations that comprise MLID.

While Yorktown has several access points open to the public (e.g. The Holland Club), our private beaches are usually inaccessible to the general public.

This is the time of year we celebrate the natural beauty of our lake with multiple events and invite the public to enjoy our lake across 4 beaches with lots of fun events (please see attached image of the schedule as a picture above, next to the fish pic). The events span a fishing derby in the morning, a presentation from Patricia Johnson--certified wildlife rehabilitator and Turtle Advocate, with a possible cameo from real life turtles--boat races (a regatta), potluck and outdoor movies projected on a lakeside handball court.
