Mohegan Lake Woman Accused of Stealing from Somers Group Home

She was making false bookkeeping entries and keeping the money.

Jennifer Czarniecki, 31, of Mohegan Lake, was arrested on Sept. 5 by New York State Police on charges of Falsifying Business Records 2nd Degree and Petit Larceny (Class A misdemeanors).

Czarniecki, while employed at a group home in Somers, NY, made false entries in the book keeping for the group home in an attempt to conceal personal expenses she incurred while using client funds over a short period of time, police said.

She was processed and released on an appearance ticket for the above charges returnable in the Town of Somers Court on Dept. 15.
