MTA To Create Parking Spaces From Former Church In Somers
When completed, there will be 450 permit-only commuter spaces.

SOMERS, NY — Don't expect there to be free parking along Routes 100, 202 and 116 in Somers for much longer. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is buying the site of the former St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and will building 450 permit-only commuter parking spaces.
When the parking lot at 12 Croton Falls Road is completed, the state Department of Transportation will eliminate parking along those roads, tapinto.net said.
The spaces would be about a half a mile, or a few minutes walk from the train station.
