Paint the Town Purple, Window Contest and Lots of Upcoming Events!

We are just days away from Relay for Life of Yorktown Paint the Town Purple (PTTP) event on May 1 which will begin the official countdown to Relay for Life of Yorktown on June 12! So here is what you need to know!

You're going to want to go through the town of Yorktown this Friday to experience PTTP. We'll have purple decorations, purple road stripes & we'll have some dedicated Relaxers in the middle of commerce street with boots for our boot drive. Make sure you have your spare change & dollar bills ready to throw in there! Don't forget to honk if you love Relay!

You're also going to take a walk around Yorktown to check out the businesses who will have their storefronts decorated & painted to support Relay. They are truly incredible & moving! Make sure you stop in to tell them how much you love their windows! Storefronts include: Yorktown Pharmacy, Yorktown Cycles, Yorktown Tire & Automate, Wishes Boutique, Trailside Café, Yorktown Pizza & Pasta, Iconic Hair Salon, Westchester Frames, Not Tutu Shabby Dancewear, JB Family Jewelers, Travel Network, Coldwell Banker Reality, Mathnasium & Pure Salon. We also want to give a very special shout out to some businesses who still made a donation towards the contest, yet couldn't decorate: Turcos,  Yorktown Wine & Liquors and Rita’s Ice. THANK YOU to all these places!

PTTP is not only about getting the town purple and excited for Relay. But we make sure that there are TONS of events going on throughout the weekend to keep you all busy! Best thing is all the events I'm about to list for you benefit Relay for Life! So by participating, you'll be giving back too! I'm challenging you to support one of these events this weekend!
