Simple Ways to Bring Out the Best in Our Children and Ourselves
Parenting Using Spiritual Principles
What is in your parenting tool box? How do we raise children to be respectful, confident and think for themselves; children who value themselves, are mindful of others, and the world they live in? This workshop is designed to help parents to develop strategies to empower their children and themselves to live by their highest value. Join us as we journey towards sharpening our parenting skills in order to arm our children with the fortitude to withstand the pressures of childhood and adolescents. Parents with young children and teens and grandparents are welcome and will benefit from this workshop. Same workshop offered on Wednesday evening and Friday during the day.

Workshop facilitated by Ridvan Foxhall
Ridvan Foxhall is a the proud parent of two soulful human beings Jared (16) and Zia (13). The parenting style my husband and I adopted when our children were born I call “spiritual parenting.” Spiritual parenting to me is an attitude that acknowledges that every child is a unique and wondrous creation, and we have been given the bounty of accompanying our children on their journey towards realizing their potential.
Children have a way of holding the mirror up and revealing our most glaring imperfections. Over the years, my children have taught me to develop love, compassion, patience, humility, flexibility, and much more. Being a mother has been and continues to be one the greatest adventure and pleasure of my life and I love it! It is both wonderful and challenging at the same time, and every year and stage in their development provides me with a fresh new opportunity to grow with them.
Beyond being a mother, I am a teacher, therapist and educator, founder of New Era Creative Space and Children’s Theatre Company of Peekskill. My experience with teaching includes working as the Headmistress of an Elementary School in Nigeria for two years, teacher at Something Good in The World’s Earth School for Homeschoolers program for several years, and over two decades of teaching religious and character education for the Baha’i Community.
If you have read this whole page, I hope you will accompany me on this journey.
