Passport Fair Set For Mohegan Lake

No appointment is necessary to apply for a passport, and photo service is also available at the special event.

MOHEGAN LAKE, NY — Considering international travel this summer and need a passport? To make it easier to apply, postal officials are expanding the acceptance of U.S. Passport applications to include a special Passport Fair Tuesday, April 23 at the Shrub Oak International School, 3151 Stoney Street, Mohegan Lake NY. Specially trained postal employees will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accept applications for U.S. Passports. No appointment is necessary, and passport photo service is also available.

Detailed guidelines for preparing passport applications, a list of the necessary supporting documents and current processing times are posted online.

The International School April 23 Passport Fair is a special expansion of the United States Postal Service’s nationwide network of Post Offices that can accept passport applications on behalf of the United States Department of State.

Although some Post Offices offer walk-in passport application acceptance, many facilities like the nearby Mohegan Lake and Shrub Oak post offices, require an appointment to apply for a passport. The Mohegan Lake Post Office, 3147 East Main Street, offers passport appointments from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Shrub Oak Post Office, 1350 East Main Street, offers passport appointments from 8 a.m. to noon, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday.
